Worst Hotel and distressing experience

I had booked this hotel along with my flight tickets from Goibibo from 27 March to 31 March,2018. I had called the hotel beforehand to let them know that I will be reaching around 2 am on 28 March as my flight was reaching by 1 am. And imagine my surprise when I reached the hotel to find the shutters down and the hotel closed. My ola cab driver kept going round and round thinking we have come to the wrong place. Went to the back lane in hopes of finding an open gate but though there was a back gate but it was locked with a chain. The mobile number of hotel was switched off and nobody picked up the landline. I was travelling alone and was there for a visit to Puri. I got so scared on finding myself all alone at around 3 in the night that I started crying. But the cab driver turned out to be a gentleman and kept consoling me. I had to finally call my brother in Delhi and get another hotel booked where I reached by 5am. Mr Tony from this hotel called me next day apologising profusely and asking me to come and checkin. I wanted to shout at him for their carelessness and causing me so much distress but just asked him to cancel my whole booking and give my money back, which he agreed to do. Then came the process of followups which I had to do for almost two months (By that time I had left India and returned to NZ). I kept calling Goibibo, Mr Tony and a lady in HR by name of Ms Jyagi and they finally told me they can only refund me for one day, as I had the option of going back to the hotel the next day. As I could not do anything from here, I stopped the followups and they refunded me for one day. I could not understand how can a hotel close in the night with not even a guard on duty. Do the guests stay inside locked doors all through the night? And how could no one understand the anguish that I went through on that day - anything could have happened. I would ask people not to book this hotel, it proved to be one of the worst experience of my life - Not only by being closed with shutters down but also by the rude, unsympathetic and utterly pathetic behaviour of the staff.

Hotel Airport Inn is located in Soubhagya Nagar, near Delta Square. It is located near the airport so it is suitable for business travelers looking for a good, clean place to stay. Rooms are clean and neat.

The hotel is in Bhubaneswar. It's near the airport. It seems to be fine for me. Actually I was in a hurry so I kept my luggage in the room, took a bath and went out. I checked out at night so did not have much of an experience.
